Unknown until agreed: what U answers when the checkers of an answer disagree, with 0.1 + 0.2 = 0.3 checked three ways. U 1.4.0 adds reasons that travel and checkers that must agree.

Universal Device, Unknown Device, or another U name. Unknown is one use of U. The source combines two layers: three-valued logic and a device protocol with local receipts and a fingerprint display that returns after a burn.

This page and its files invite crawling. Other pages keep their existing rules. U: access for every crawler is not established; each crawler must successfully fetch the page.

Rod, the Beethoven Beethovener, routes gesture drafts, optional rumble and audio through U. A bone-conduction headset or an audio-connected rod transducer uses the same audio adapter. The physical connection and what a person hears remain U until observed.

Universal, unknown, unclassified: the wider purpose stays open. Rod is one application. Run U to try the logic and returning display; neither page establishes a connection to every ChuuMind path or subdomain.

1 can label a condition that holds, 0 one that does not, and u an unsettled condition. A caller supplies those observations. Combining the labels does not measure the world or authenticate a claim.

The logic requires a nonempty reason when creating u; the caller keeps that reason. The guard cannot establish whether it is adequate or true. The published ports reject values outside the three strings.

These results describe this logic's unknown value. They do not disprove classical logic. The example is for a JavaScript module; the browser controls need no code entry.

Justichuu's proposed chain is circle, Ichthys, triangle: 1, 2, 3. The counts can continue by adding the preceding two; the shapes are assigned symbols.

The site uses 1, 2, 3-point logic as a navigation key: Circle for round, bouba-like work; Fish for mixed, in-between or uncertain work; Triangle for sharp, kiki-like work. These are editable associations with each page, not truth values or ratings. The Map keeps every page reachable.

The fish uses two cycloid segments, one reflected, with asymmetry in placement and motion: relative angle, phase and pace. Swimming advances the process. NOT exchanges the branch labels at the same process time. A geometric crossing never merges the labels; the branches can reach it at different times. For u, both candidates remain unsettled and the observation needed to choose stays attached.

Dotted tails show continuation. This gives the fish a role in state transport and negation; it does not establish a necessary shape for binary logic or a geometric rule for AND and OR. U's existing truth tables stay the same.

Repeat a smaller whole fish on each branch and the fish becomes a tree. The fractal depth control shows the original at depth 0 and 127 copies at depth 6. Every copy inherits the angle, phase and pace. This is a finite preview of the recursive construction; the marker stays on the original fish.

Pando offers a related image: many connected stems growing from a common origin. The US Forest Service describes the aspen clone as new shoots spreading from an expanding root system. Here that connection is an analogy; the fish construction does not model Pando's biology or the diversity of a forest.

Try the fish in Run U. Choose a value, adjust the angle, phase and pace, swim, or apply NOT. The initial settings are an illustration. A symmetric reference lets you compare the two constructions.

Run NOT on each value, AND and OR on every pair, then test refusal of a bare u: 3 + 9 + 9 + 1 = 22 results. Their fixed order produces:

The Run page executes those 22 checks. Independent implementations can produce the same tape; it is not an author signature, proof of theft or an automatic identity lookup.

The browser demo can hide its fingerprint, replace its display identifier, do both or leave both alone. A selected elapsed time returns the display, and Restore returns it earlier. Public source and credits stay available.

A separate repository check removes comment lines and renames selected identifiers in the checked-in JavaScript. Its finite tape survived that transformation. This does not establish every possible rewrite, language or future version.

Neither mechanism guarantees anonymity, erasure, recovery of deleted code or time before a copy is identified.

The published U Device License 1.0 and MIT alternative permit use, copying and modification under their stated terms. The custom license keeps its license and canonical provenance with the work and requires return and Restore for display burns. MIT keeps its copyright and permission notice. Modifying code does not automatically remove those notice requirements.

The record below associates contributions with this project. Unknown contributions need a named source or observation before becoming a credit.

The key 66cce8d50854 opens this list. The published contribution record, with a face on every line, because a credit with no evidence behind it is worth less than an honest blank.

It is ruled the way a lodge ruled its ledger in 1821. The name runs left, the figure sits hard right, and a rule of dots crosses the gap so your eye cannot slide off one line onto the next one's figure. That much is legibility.

The half worth copying is the other one. A line with nothing to report gets no rule at all. Look at the last entry: the dots stop, because there is no figure to carry them to. A ruled column ending in blank is a space somebody who was not in the room can write a figure into afterwards, A bare name leaves no ready-made figure slot, but this layout cannot prevent later editing. Absence is shown by absence, never by a nought and never by “n/a”.

Which is the same rule as the third face. A u shown as a 1 because nothing disagreed with it, and an empty ruled column waiting for a figure, are one mistake wearing two centuries of different clothes. The bookkeepers had it first and we are only catching up.

Three of those lines are a different kind of unknown, and they are worth separating. A museum does not leave the maker field blank; it writes Unknown artist, which is an attribution and not an absence. Sir John Beazley went further with Attic vase painting: he told anonymous hands apart by the consistent behaviour of the work and named each one after a representative object. The Berlin Painter keeps his corpus and will never get his name.

That is this page’s own argument about fingerprints, run by hand, on pots, a century early. So three hands are attributed here and none of them is identified. The face is u and it stays u unless that person says otherwise themselves, which is the only way it could ever move.

Three are 1 and the rest are u. A u is not a demotion. It means present in the work and not measured on these particular files, which is the true thing, and the roster would be worth nothing if it rounded that up.

What was not checked. Three runtimes on one machine, Windows, 23 September 2026: Node 26.7.0, Python 3.14.7, and the sh that ships with Git for Windows. All three wrote the same tape. No other operating system or runtime was observed. That a fourth language would agree is reasoned from the code, which is comparison and string building and nothing else. It is not witnessed.
